INSAN is a Malaysian-based humanitarian organization established in 2015 by its founder, \u00a0Mr Saleem Mohammed Abdul Wahid and Datuk Dr Abdul Ghani Mohamad, and later on several \u00a0Yemeni intellectuals living in Malaysia joined the organization. Its original purpose was to provide sustainable livelihoods opportunities for the Yemeni individuals who arrived Malaysia as war refugees in that very same year.\u00a0\u00a0 Amongst our\u00a0 earlier objectives\u00a0 were to help this vulnerable community to have access to sustainable food supply, better education, adequate primary health care, and employment opportunities, respect the ideals of human rights, peaceful life and eventually improved sustainable community development.<\/p>

INSAN <\/strong>is a legally established organization and it\u00a0 is\u00a0 registered with\u00a0 Malaysia\u2019s\u00a0 Registrar of Societies (ROS) with registration number: PPM-004-14-30102015.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Five years after its official establishment (in 2015), INSAN has\u00a0 successfully delivered humanitarian aids not only to the needy Yemeni families residing in Malaysia, it has also helped, in many ways, Yemeni students\u00a0 in this country who were facing with financial difficulties, in part, due to the on-going war in Yemen (and that their sponsors either delayed or completely abandoned their financial sponsorships or aids).<\/p>

Moving fast forward, our past and ongoing humanitarian activities cover both local and international fronts. At the local front, (a part from aiding the needy Yemeni families and students), our food baskets and qurbani<\/em> projects, for example, have benefited many yateems<\/em> (orphans) shelter homes in and around Kuala Lumpur and Shah Alam, Selangor areas.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>

Meanwhile, \u00a0at the international front, with the co-operation of local\u00a0 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Yemen, (example, Muath Development Foundation), and in the United States of America, the USA, (example, Pure Hands Organization), we have successfully implemented various humanitarian aid projects, mainly the\u00a0 food baskets projects, in several cities badly affected by the on-going war in Yemen. Also, at the international front, we have successfully launched a professional training program for Yemeni women\u00a0 (in Yemen) to train them with skills, for instance, sewing of clothes, in the hope that they would be able to find jobs or create their own small scale businesses.<\/p>

Our relentless struggles to help the under-privileged and needy (Yemeni) families and students in Malaysia, and the orphanages in and around Kuala Lumpur and Shah Alam (Selangor) areas is well recognized by the public, locally and abroad, and the Ambassador of Yemen to Malaysia, H.E. Dr Adel Mohamed Ali Ba Hamid, for example, has highly praised and recognized our humble organization\u2019s efforts and has recommended other similar organizations in and outside Malaysia to closely work with us in various humanitarian projects. And very recently, on the 12th <\/sup>April, 2020, H.E. the Ambassador has successfully launched the first phase of our food baskets project for needy Yemeni families residing in\u00a0 Kuala Lumpur (Setapak and Gomabak areas),\u00a0 and Serdang, Kajang and Bangi areas.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our co-operation with local NGOs and prominent financial institutions is also well recognized. For a record, in March this year (2020) we have successfully launched a vaccination program\u00a0 with the help of Mercy Malaysia. In this vaccination program, a total of 144 Yemeni children from Yemeni community in Malaysia were vaccinated.
